Umthiba is a private lodge set in the heart of Kuleni Nature Park, a natural sand forest adjacent to Phinda Game Reserve, near St Lucia World Heritage Site in KwaZulu Natal, a mere 3 hour drive from Durban.

This comfortable lodge allows the visitor the opportunity to experience nature and wildlife at its pristine best from a deck chair on the verandah or while walking the many nature trails that traverse the diverse indigenous bush and grasslands.

The Park is home to wildebeest, giraffe, warthog, zebra and a large variety of antelope and with the abundance of birdlife is a birdwatcher’s paradise. Umthiba Bush Lodge is fully equipped for selfcatering and is suitable for couples as well as groups of family and friends.

  • Peaceful hideaway for the family. Private, interact with nature. 10 minutes drive to Hluhluwe town.

    Absolute comfort in all bedrooms; big living area; well maintained outdoor pool, comfortable outdoor furniture. Camp chairs provided; backup generator. Serene environment but close enough to all amenities.Very proactive host, all necessary information provided with directions. Separate cottage a nice surprise!All was perfect.
